Van Nest, the Bronx
About Prime Demo Bronx
A demolition contractor working out of Van Nest, on interior work inside Bronx buildings that never stop running.
We work where the building is the hard part

Prime Demo Bronx is a demolition contractor based at 1869 Muliner Ave, Bronx, NY 10462, on a block of two-family houses east of the park. We work across the Bronx.
The work is interior demolition: apartments, houses, storefronts, offices and warehouse floors taken back to whatever the next stage needs. Alongside it we cut and remove concrete, and we clear the material we generate.
What that work actually demands in this borough is less about force and more about sequence. Nearly every job is in a building with other people in it, with one elevator shared by everyone, a super with a timetable and a managing agent with rules. Knowing how to get plaster out of a fifth floor through a passenger cab two hours a day without a single scuff is a bigger part of the job than knowing how to take a wall down.
How we price and what we tell you
We walk it before we price it
An estimate written from a drawing is a guess. We look at what is actually there, what is behind the plaster, and how it leaves the building.
We say what we find
If something behind a wall is going to change the number, you hear it that day. Surprises get more expensive the longer they are carried.
We read the building's paperwork
The alteration agreement and the elevator windows decide the schedule more than the scope does, so we ask before we quote rather than after.
We hand over what the next trade needs
When we finish we tell you what we found behind the walls. Your electrician and your plumber are the ones who have to deal with it.

01 Before the first wall
Protection goes in before anything comes down
It is faster to protect a lobby than to repair one, and a super remembers a scuffed elevator cab far longer than a tidy job.
Lobby, cab, corridors, floors, door frames and anything staying in the space are covered before the work starts. On an occupied floor that is most of the first day, and it is the part that decides whether the building wants you back.
Who we work with
General contractors and construction managers, architects and designers, building owners and managing agents, boards running a capital project, homeowners in the middle of a renovation through their contractor, and commercial tenants and their contractors clearing a space at the end of a lease.
On residential work we come in as the demolition trade alongside the general contractor running the renovation.
If you are a general contractor, you mostly want to know that we will hold a date and not create a problem with the building. If you are the managing agent, you mostly want to know that your lobby, your elevator and your other residents come out of it unaffected. Both are fair, and we try to answer them before you have to ask.
Outside the Bronx, the same business works across the rest of the city. The city-wide site routes each borough to its own.
